Thank you for taking time to learn more about learning abroad opportunities for University of Minnesota students and the processes in place that support their participation in a study abroad program. You are invited to watch the videos below at your own pace.

Video 1 - Introduction
This video introduces the Learning Abroad Center and covers the structure and roles within the LAC as well as what we're seeing with current student trends.
Video 2 - Advising & Applications
Learn about First Step sessions and advising processes and resources. The video also gives an overview of the application process, including a view of the application portal that students use.
Video 3 - Academics
Learn about the academic planning proces, resources, and strategies that you and your students can use to review, select and approve coursework from abroad. We'll also cover a few academic policies that advisers should be familiar with, plus the registration process and grades processing timeline.
Video 4 - Program Selection
This video provides an overview of program models, resources to find programs related to majors, and different program features.
Video 5 - Finances & Scholarships
Learn more about study abroad finances and scholarships. Learn how to identify program costs, financial aid considerations, scholarship opportunities, and resources available to students.
Video 6 - Wrap Up
This video wraps up our video training series and covers re-entry, next steps for advisors, and how to contact us.
