Gilman/Freeman-ASIA Scholarships Virtual Info Session

This webinar covers eligibility requirements for both scholarships, the application process, tips for applying, and additional resources. A significant part of the webinar will focus on guidance for crafting high-quality Gilman and/or Freeman-ASIA Scholarship essays.

After the webinar, you can schedule a meeting with a Learning Abroad Center adviser who has served as a Gilman scholarship reviewer to receive individual feedback on your essay. If you'd like feedback on your Gilman or Freeman ASIA essay, email Thuy (thuydoan@umn.edu). Note: Advisers cannot review drafts submitted fewer than 5 business days before the application deadline. You may also meet with an adviser to discuss essay ideas even if you don't have a draft ready. A list of available reviewers and their contact information will be shared at the info session.
