Gilman/Freeman-ASIA Scholarships Virtual Info Session

Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 12:30 PM until 1:30 PMCentral Daylight Time

This webinar covers eligibility requirements for both scholarships, the application process, tips for applying, and additional resources. A significant part of the webinar will focus on guidance for crafting high-quality Gilman and/or Freeman-ASIA Scholarship essays.

After the webinar, students can schedule a meeting with an LAC adviser who has served as a Gilman scholarship reviewer and receive individual feedback on their essay. Students who would like feedback on their Gilman or Freeman ASIA essay, may email their draft to  Thuy Doan. Note: advisers cannot review drafts submitted fewer than 5 business days before the application deadline. Students may also meet with an adviser to discuss essay ideas even if they don't have a draft ready.  A list of available reviewers and their contact information will be shared at the info session. Students may apply for both scholarships if they meet the eligibility criteria of both.
